Martin Stewart has been writing for a long time, having made his first book at the age of eight, using Post-It notes.

His multi-award listed YA debut, Riverkeep, was released in 2016. Since then, he's written YA horror, MG adventure, adult crime - and the Bridget Vanderpuff series!

Before he was a writer, Martin worked as - in no particular order - an English teacher, university lecturer, recruitment consultant, barman, bouncer, golf caddy, recycling technician, and wine advisor. Now he spends his days reading, writing, dreaming up new adventures for Bridget and Tom - and visiting schools to talk about the creative process.
A native of Glasgow, he now lives on the west coast of Scotland with his wife, two children, and a very big dog. He enjoys cooking with eggs, running on the beach, re-watching his favourite films, and buying books to feed his to-be-read pile.
